Cookies on Braze - How are they used?
Yes, your CMP's cookie acceptance settings are likely the cause.
On your website, Braze relies on first-party cookies to perform its essential functions: identifying the user and managing the display of Content Cards and In-App Messages.
When a user rejects cookies via your CMP, the Braze Web SDK is blocked. As a result, Braze cannot recognize the user on your website and therefore will not show them any marketing messages.
The solution is to configure your CMP to always allow the cookies set by the Braze SDK. You can do this by categorizing Braze's cookies as "essential" or "functional" within your CMP's settings. This ensures that Braze can operate correctly even if a user opts out of other analytics or marketing trackers. Once enabled, you should see your delivery rates return to normal.
