RCS in SMS
Hi everyone, Does anyone know if RCS is available in australia? Have heard its not supported by the mobile networks is all. Thanks in advance!
There is partial support on Android - see Telstra’s launch of Australia’s first RCS service (https://www.gsma.com/solutions-and-impact/technologies/networks/digest/telstra-launches-australias-first-rcs-service)
However, there is currently no support on iOS - see this update on the lack of RCS availability for iPhones in Australia (https://eftm.com/2025/08/rcs-messaging-still-not-available-for-iphones-in-australia-265617)
