The Krazy Coupon Lady (KCL) is a female-founder-owned publisher on a mission to help shoppers beat MSRP, unapologetically maximize their money, and seize the deal. Our teams of shopping experts curate and hand-test nearly a thousand deals per week, so there is always something new to discover each time you visit our website, app, and your inbox.

KCL is seeking an Email Marketing Manager, responsible for developing and implementing short- and long-term email marketing strategies to further business goals. This position is responsible for leveraging data, testing, monitoring industry trends, and developing creative ideas to optimize user inbox journeys on a 1:1 level. Drawing on a deep understanding of our audience, content, and our goals, this person will develop and measure KPIs for platform health and success, with a strong focus on using data to inform user growth and retention strategies. This role will help provide direction around the channel’s vision, goals and success metrics, facilitate the development of necessary ROI dashboards to evaluate performance, and translate business strategies into action. 

This role reports directly to the Senior Manager of Marketing and will also work closely with other members of the company. To be successful in this role, you will need to be organized, have a passion for details, and a deep understanding of the mechanics of building and deploying email marketing strategy including automations, testing and personalization. It is critical that you have the ability to handle complexity at speed. You will also need to have a high level of tech savvy-ness and penchant for problem solving.

This is a full-time remote position with a Monday-Friday work week.

 

 KCL will currently consider applicants who reside in the following states: Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania,  South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Wisconsin.

In this role, you will: 

  • Drive strategy to engage and nurture our email audience to meet short and long term business goals
  • Develop and refine our approach to email marketing by using data, analytics, and research to evaluate current performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Craft compelling copy such as subject lines, run A/B tests, select deals and execute campaigns
  • Build and optimize highly relevant, targeted, and personalized email marketing programs at scale, including behavioral triggers, lifecycle series, ad hoc and transactional emails 
  • Work closely with our marketing, business intelligence and automation teams to create and implement strategies for list growth, health and increased engagement
  • Develop KPIs to measure both the short-term and long-term success of email; partner with our business intelligence team to build and monitor ROI dashboards
  • Recommend and implement testing and conversion-driving strategies, with clear objectives and measures of success
  • Communicate channel performance and insights to internal stakeholders
  • Keep a pulse on industry trends
  • Perform other related duties as the department scales

 

About you:

  • Minimum 5+ years experience in lifecycle marketing, CRM, or email marketing for an ecommerce, media or D2C company
  • Demonstrable experience managing, segmenting and optimizing a CRM database with millions of customers
  • Experience with ESPs, database segmentation queries and triggered customer journeys
  • Experience architecting A/B and cohort tests to isolate the variables that will prove a hypothesis right or wrong
  • Hates typos, loves checklists
  • Ability to think critically; must be solutions oriented with a passion for problem solving
  • Exceptional attention to detail and an avid team player who enjoys working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to use knowledge of marketing, branding, and creativity to develop highly performant campaigns
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or Braze preferred
  • Copywriting experience preferred
  • Ability to edit HTML templates

 

Physical Job Requirements:
