The Role The purpose of this role is to lead the technical design and delivery of impactful customer engagement solutions using the Braze platform, focused on a single, high-profile client with room to grow across the agency. As the Technical Lead, you will translate creative ideas into actionable Braze and data solutions, ensuring seamless execution. You will collaborate with stakeholders, develop prototypes, mentor technical teams, and maintain high standards for performance, documentation, and innovation. This Role Focuses On 2 Core Areas Technical leadership and solution design Stakeholder collaboration and team development Day To Day You’ll Get Work cross-functionally with the client and our account, creative, strategy and analytics teams to translate creative ideas into technical and data requirements for the Braze platform. Your vision will ensure client success from idea to implementation. Scope/build rapid prototypes which help us to respond to client briefs and assess technical viability. Be the main point of contact when it comes to data requirements for Braze. Liaise with internal and external teams to ensure that we are leveraging client data securely, effectively and efficiently. Ensure that all solutions are endorsed and supported by our client’s global and local technology teams and that all established standards are adhered to. Be the absolute subject matter expert for our internal team and clients when it comes to the Braze platform Advise and mentor a local/offshore technical delivery team, fostering growth, capability and process. Work with the Digitas tech team to troubleshoot, test, and optimise solutions to achieve maximum performance with minimal errors. Ensure continuity for the account by establishing and maintaining standards across the tech team for documentation and knowledge exchange. Skills Expert level on-tool skills with one of the major customer engagement platforms (Salesforce, Adobe, Braze) Candidates with Braze experience are preferred.Salesforce, Braze or other certifications are a plus but not required Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes. Strong working knowledge of modern marketing data tools and integration patterns with an emphasis on how to solution data for targeting, personalisation and reporting Working knowledge of CDPs such as Segment, Tealium and mParticle. mParticle experience is a huge plus Analytical thinking, asking the right questions and challenging for better outcomes Strategic thinker, pushing the boundaries and always challenging us to think bigger or differently Excellent collaboration, written and verbal communication skills The Person We Are Looking For Has 7+ years of experience working on the technical side of Martech, marketing automation or customer engagement roles Background in prototyping and light coding. I have 15+ years of CRM/ lifecyle/ retention as well as general customer marketing experience, including almost 10! years leveraging Braze (formerly AppBoy) successfully in multiple roles and industries. Comfortable building and mentoring a team, or digging in the weeds myself...and also have a reputation (I hope) as a tech innovator by pioneering new uses of existing technology.
