ContributionsMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsQuestion #2 on testing for BlaBlaCar - Test and Learn AMA Guendalinawhen it comes to reporting and attribution, do you use Braze to evaluate campaign and flow performance or do you rely on some of the powerful Braze integrations with analytics platforms like Looker, Amplitude, etc? We've done both, for different use cases, but I've always found it better to use integrations and apply an attribution model that weighs all marketing channels appropriately (paid media included). The Braze Looker Blocks, specifically, were a huge help at an early-stage startup where analytics resources were limited. Re: Welcome to the Test and Learn AMA! Guendalinadylancarpewhat different types of testing cadences should we be considering using Braze? Question on testing for BlaBlaCar - Test and Learn AMA GuendalinaIn the intro to this AMA session, I saw that you've been testing different "From" names in different markets. We've done this as well in multiple markets across Europe and North America. I'm curious to learn which types of names worked better than others, how many variations you tested and how long the tests lasted for. Re: API / User limitation from Braze to other system and vice versa 1) I think this depends on the rate limits that the endpoint you're calling has imposed. If you send 50,000 requests at once to an endpoint that has a 5,000/minute limit, of course you'll run into issues. 2) The rate limits vary per endpoint. The number of calls was reduced for some endpoints and set for others last June (2022) and the documentationshould be correct. 3) Currents. It's a (paid) Braze feature that automates the export of message engagement and behavioral events from Braze to a data warehouse or an analytics platform. For imports, I'd advise you to contact the support team and ask if they can run a bulk import, if it's a one-off. Re: How to change the date format in an email using liquid Hey Stella, Try this: {{event_properties.${datepropertyname} | date: "%d.%m.%Y" }} It's the same syntax for custom attributes, just add "|" after the first closing curly bracket and define the format of the date attribute. Re: Creating a past due credit card payment email campaign using Liquid Hey Jessica, Could you share more about what's working and what's broken in the code above? The syntax looks correct. If the values for last 4 digits and due date are part of the event that triggers the email, you need to reference event properties, not custom attributes. Re: Promo Code Reporting We've never needed to know which specific code was assigned to each individual user. We see the promos when someone places an order and redeems one. You could use message extrasand pass the value of the code for each users in the "email send" event through currents and surface this data in your analytics platform. What would be the use-case for knowing the promo<>email pairings? Avoiding promo code abuse? Re: Is there a way to set an image to a specific pixel size within a template? I don't think there's a straightforward way to do it. You could add a row with 3 or 5 columns and put the image block in one column, then increase padding in combination with the slider to get to the desired width. The other two options are adding a HTML block and defining the exact width in the code, or just resizing the image to 64px and re-upload😅 Re: Calling All Community Members: Your Expertise Needed to Solve This Analytics Mystery! Hi! I don't believe that there's an automated way to do this in Braze. Klaviyo's a bit different in that regard, as it allows you to look at products within the platform, whereas Braze puts more focus on integrating with analytics platforms where you could do this and more. If you really want to have this data visible in Braze, I'd suggest setting up a webhook that's posting product information (from the purchase event) to each user profile in the form of an array or nested custom attributes. You'd still have to export in order to look at the products for all users. (Disclaimer: this will count towards your data points usage) The proper way to do this would be to take advantage of the currentsintegrations and send the data elsewhere. Amplitude is great for product analytics (product as in your app or website) and it gives you multiple different views with as many dimensions as you want; plus a great attribution system. Looker is also great for this type of analysis as it can surface your entire database and marry Braze campaign data to the rest of your ad platforms and all user/order data. If you install the out-of-the-box Braze Looker Blocks, you don't need to worry about building dashboards and reports manually. Re: How do I make an email template mobile responsive? It'd be hard to say without looking at the actual template. In the Drag & Drop Editor, when you switch to mobile preview, you have the option to adjust the padding for mobile devices only, if that's breaking the design. It could also be the image width that's breaking it - try setting it to full width on mobile on all images, and go from there. I just tried creating a blank template with a bunch of different blocks and it's responsive by default. I haven't changed any of the values on the email settings page.
