iOS and Android push in one message

Hi all,

Is there any way to send one push alert to iOS and Android without having to create duplicate messages? Or a media publisher sending out breaking news alerts. Ideally, producers would only have to create one message.

Any ideas here?

  • deblock1376 have you thought about using content blocks for dynamic content so you only need to update the copy/images/links in a single location?

or you could look into API triggered campaigns and pushing the content into Braze

We'll likely use the API. It would be nice if we could autoflow one message into across a multichannel campaign. Thanks all!

Thinking out aloud, and possibly what ConorIrvine was noting about content blocks and APIs. You could potentially have the entirety of both push messages built as content blocks. Then the content blocks are updated by API in single place, and the messages are triggered by API. So, you'd send all the data to a single spot, it would fill out the messages and then trigger both push. Would need to try it in practice but confident there would be a way.

  • Hey deblock1376 the closest I've done to this is a Multichannel campaign where you can have an iOS version and Android version in the same campaign. (prevents needing to setup conversion events, scheduling, segmentation and launching twice)

AFAIK you do have to have separate because of the different SDK for iOS and Android.

Thanks! Our use case is breaking news situations where speed matters. We're trying to build the fastest possible path to publish. We have some ideas using data feeds, but still mulling the best approach.

You can create a Canvas with a iOS and Android push step 😉
