What You'll Be Doing


We're entering an exciting phase of personalization and looking for a Lifecycle Marketing Specialist who can jump in and help us tackle some big opportunities. As our Part-Time Lifecycle Marketing Expert, you'll be the one we turn to when we need fresh perspective, specialized skills, or extra horsepower on high-impact projects. One month you might be setting up new personalization campaigns, the next you could be cleaning up our existing emails or developing our content strategy for a new distribution channel with our Product Marketing lead.


Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic project collaboration - Own specific marketing initiatives from strategy through execution
  • Expert consultation - Provide specialized knowledge in your area of expertise, whether that's lifecycle marketing, growth strategy, HTML, or personalization
  • HTML cleanup - our existing HTML code got an overhaul recently and we need some help updating our email templates with the new clean code.
  • Assist in day-to-day churn - Support our technical marketer in getting emails out the door with correct segmentation.
  • Data-driven insights - Analyze personalization performance, identify new targeting opportunities, and translate findings into actionable recommendations
  • Knowledge transfer - Share best practices with our internal team and help level up our marketing capabilities


You're a fit if you:

  • Have 3+ years of lifecycle marketing experience driving customer acquisition and retention with demonstrated success in B2C SaaS or subscription products.
  • A proven history of measurable results improving user retention, engagement, and lifetime value through lifecycle campaigns across multiple channels (email, in-app messages, push notifications, etc.).
  • Technical expertise in marketing automation platforms (ideally Braze)
  • Are both strategic and hands-on - you can develop comprehensive strategies AND roll up your sleeves to execute them
  • Are available for 15-30 hours per month (flexible timing, but some overlap with Central Time preferred)
  • Can start within the next 2-4 weeks

  • Already use and love YNAB (seriously, it makes everything better!)

 

About Life at YNAB (Even as a Consultant!)

  • Fully remote
  • Flexible schedule
  • 15-30 hours per month
  • We don’t work Fridays, so you won’t get pings from us (you can still work then, but it’ll be quiet on our front!).
  • The pay range for this role is $45-$65/hour depending on experience.
