Email Designer/Developer (contract with possibility of full-time hire)
Need help migrating from Iterable to Braze
About the role
ConsumerAffairs is seeking a creative and detail-oriented email designer/developer to work alongside a team of fellow lifecycle marketers to help facilitate a seamless transition of a large email program from Iterable to Braze, and later, build, oversee, and execute our email marketing campaigns. The primary job duty is to rebuild existing Iterable email templates and automations in Braze.
The role begins on a contract basis with the possibility of becoming full-time at the contract's conclusion. If hired full-time, this role will craft engaging email content, design visual elements, and drive audience engagement, retention, and conversions through strategic email initiatives. You will be responsible for planning, designing, developing, deploying, and analyzing both ad-hoc email campaigns and automated customer journeys. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.
Job details
- Fully remote
- Must be able to align some working hours with a 9-5 CST US workday
- 20-30 hours/week
- $45-$60/hour during contract period, depending on experience.

Minimum Qualifications & Credentials
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, or related field
Hard/Technical Skills
- 3+ years of experience developing and launching emails from major Email Service Providers (ESPs), preferably Braze and/or Iterable
- Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools such as Tableau
- Proficiency in HTML and CSS for building and modifying responsive email templates
- Experience with email design tools like Photoshop, Canva, or similar software
- Strong understanding of email best practices, including mobile responsiveness, accessibility, and CAN-SPAM compliance
- Comfortable executing all parts of the email development process, from concept to design, development, testing, and deployment
