Overview Sonos is seeking a skilled Braze Campaign Developer to design, implement, and optimize customer engagement and lifecycle campaigns using the Braze platform. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Braze’s ecosystem, experience in building personalized user experiences, and a strong understanding of customer data integrations. This role is central to enhancing our customer engagement strategies and driving user retention and growth. This is a long-term, full-time contract position. Must be based in the United States. Hourly Rate: $60, but negotiable (upwards) depending on experience. Key Responsibilities Campaign Development & Management Design and build advanced, cross-channel ad-hoc, transactional, and canvas campaigns (with email, push notifications, in-app messages, SMS, etc.). Implement dynamic personalization using Liquid scripting. Collaborate with marketing, product, and data teams to create personalized journeys. Routinely monitor campaign and canvas health. Technical Implementation Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate Braze with internal systems, APIs, and customer databases. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure seamless data flow between Braze and external platforms such as CDPs, CRMs, and analytics tools. Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize the use of Braze SDKs for enhanced app-based messaging and behavior tracking. Performance Optimization Analyze campaign performance metrics and deliver actionable insights for improvements. Implement A/B testing strategies to continuously improve messaging impact. Ensure high deliverability rates for email and push campaigns. Platform Maintenance Manage Braze settings, integrations, and configurations. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues within the Braze platform. Stay up-to-date with Braze’s latest features and updates to leverage their full potential. Collaboration & Training Work with cross-functional teams to align campaign strategies with broader business goals. Train and support non-technical team members on using Braze effectively. Create campaign implementation documentation in Confluence. Qualifications Required 3+ years of experience working with the Braze platform. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and Liquid scripting for campaign customization. Experience with APIs and data integrations in Braze. Strong understanding of customer segmentation and journey automation. Familiarity with SDKs and event-based tracking. Preferred Experience with Looker marketing analytics tool. Knowledge of SQL for querying customer data for CDI (Segment Extensions). I have 15+ years of CRM/ lifecyle/ retention as well as general customer marketing experience, including almost 10! years leveraging Braze (formerly AppBoy) successfully in multiple roles and industries.
