I'm having trouble understanding and getting this new functionality to work. Wondering if someone could help: 1. I am currently marked as a Designated Support Contact but when I try to log in to the new portal, I get an error message that tells me to contact my Support Administrator. However, I am the administrator for my company. How do I access this portal? 2. What is the limit on Designated Support Contacts? I am currently the only person checked off as a Designated Support Contact. When I tried to add other people in my company, I was told I had reached my limit. Is the limit 1 person? 3. How do people who are not Designated Support Contacts reach Braze Support? Email Capture Form for Web Hi, Braze hive mind! My team is looking for a way to set up a simple web form on our website for users to sign up to receive marketing emails from our brand. We would like for these names/emails to be sent directly to Braze and merged with our larger list of app users. We do not have the Braze web API set up at this time, and we do not require users to log in to use our website. Basically, we just need a way for these internet users to sign up for our email list with a web capture form that can automatically add them into our Braze base. We recently transitioned our email activity to Braze from Mailchimp, where we had a form like this setup, but I am having trouble finding a way to do this with Braze as the platform appears to be more compatible for mobile apps where the Braze SDK is implemented. So far, I have just been downloading the new signups from Mailchimp on a regular basis and manually uploading them as CSVs to Braze. Appreciate any advice! Re: Customer report Yes, there are multiple ways to do this! The most simple way - When creating your in app message, if you are using the traditional editor, you will have the option to add up to 2 buttons. The first will be assigned Button 1 and the second will be assigned Button 2. If you elect to use the drag and drop editor instead, when you add buttons, you will need to set the button Identifier for Reporting to "0" for Button 1 and "1" for Button 2 (see this page for explanation). Then you can go build a segment using the filter "Interacted with Campaign" where you make filter setting "Clicked Button 1 (or 2) for X Campaign." Once you have built that segment, you can export the contact list of users in that segment as a CSV. Another, slightly more complex way - you can create two custom events (e.g., clicked_b1, clicked_b2), and using the traditional IAM creator, you can set the Activity on Button Click to register a custom event, where the custom event you set is those events you have created. Keep in mind that with this message, the custom events will count as data points. Re: IAM Schedule Delay Agree with this solution. Probably not easy to test, but you can test out the canvas delay function with a shorter time window (a day or two). If it works for a shorter time frame, it will likely work for the longer time frame. Re: White space after dynamic liquid content in Subject Line only I have encountered this issue. Hard to diagnose your exact issue without seeing the code, but on my end I discovered the issue was coming from a stray space between pieces of the liquid code in an if/else statement. Even when the piece of the code was part of a logic sequence rather than a return string sequence. Re: SQL Segment Extensions question What factors effect how many credits are used up per query and are there tips besides using the Incremental SQL Editor for minimizing credit usage per query? When you say the incremental editor only calculates the last two day's worth of data, does that mean if I have a segment using the people from this extension, only the last two days worth of users will be included, or will the new additional users be pulled into the segment every two days? Re: Custom Event Following. I have also encountered trouble using custom event properties in liquid messaging. The learning courses say we should be able to use them when Canvases/Campaigns are triggered by the custom event, but I still am having issues. The only consistent way I have been able to view custom event properties for individual users is by running a SQL query. Email Templates HTML Bug Hi, everyone! My company is new to Braze and we are running into a bug with our HTML email templates. We have created footer HTML block that we add to the bottom of our emails. This is saved as a content block. We also have uploaded the HTML for the body of the email that we are building directly into an email template, and we are adding the footer block to that. When I add the content block of the footer, the footer block's format is getting messed up on mobile. We are seeing extraneous white lines and the text being stacked vertically. Photos attached. The HTML is optimized for mobile and desktop. When I built a new email template without the body of that email and added the footer block, this error did not occur. When I tried uploading the body of the email as a content block and then building the email template with two content blocks (the body + footer), the issue did occur. What's strange is that when we re-uploaded the HTML to Braze with both the email body and the HTML of the footer, there were no issues. It was the exact same HTML code. We also tried uploading the HTML code to other email platforms (e.g. Mailchimp) and didn't see any issues, so we don't think it's a code error. Has anyone seen this bug? Any way to fix so we can use the footer block properly?
