Tips for building a WhatsApp list?

There are a ton of ways to build your WhatsApp subscriber list, like a checkbox on your registration or checkout page, a digital QR code or link that directs into the WhatsApp thread, or a Click-to-WhatsApp ad. You can also use Braze methods like our WhatsApp Sign-Up Form or Landing Pages. All of these methods and many more are outlined in detail in our Getting Started with WhatsApp Guide. Zooming out a bit, I recommend keeping these two considerations in mind when building your list growth strategy: 

- Where and when are users most likely to opt-in? Try to catch your customers on the channels, platforms, and devices they are already engaged on and ask them to opt-in after a positive experience with your brand. 

- What opt-in methods are the most frictionless? On mobile, that might be a link that directs straight into the WhatsApp thread. On desktop, that might be a landing page. If you’re collecting opt-ins IRL, that might be a QR code on your in-store signage.
