Goal: Every month, all of our Audiobooks.com members receive a free VIP credit that they can redeem on a curated selection of audiobooks. Our goal was to increase the percentage of members that redeem their VIP credit.

Strategy: Send an additional mid-month in-app message to remind users that haven’t claimed their VIP credit yet.

Results: We tested three different variants of the in-app message. The first variant was a modal in-app message that showcased select VIP titles they could redeem. The second variant was a subtle, gray slide-up. The last variant (and the winner) was a more visible, dark blue slide-up that drove a +13% increase in click-through rate and an +8% increase in the percentage of members redeeming VIP.

We believe the dark blue slide-up was the most effective because it catches the user's attention while still allowing them to interact with the app. This is ideal for our members as many of them open our app to hit play on their book!
