I’m blessed that I’m a curious person who is drawn to solving technical problems but I believe anyone who has used Braze for some time should gain a basic understanding of Liquid. I think of it like this, HTML/CSS or the drag-and-drop editor are like an artwork, but Liquid lets you dynamically update the artwork to suit each viewer’s taste. Seriously, how cool is that?
Not to mention, if you want to improve your career options, Shopify invented Liquid and it is now used by hundreds of other companies including Salesforce, Zendesk, Kajabi and Microsoft.
At a minimum, be sure to skim-read the Braze Liquid docs to understand what is possible but don’t sleep on the Shopify docs either. Not all Shopify Liquid works in Braze but the Shopify docs are detailed and can help you think outside of the box of what is possible. I mean they did invent the language.
