Remove user in the canvas flow

I have a list of users that I want to remove from a Canvas so they won't receive the remaining emails. This list will be updated regularly. Should I keep adding individual email addresses to the Exit Criteria each time, or would it be better to create a segment and use that as the Exit Criteria—so I can just update the segment whenever needed?

  • Another option is to set a custom attribute (can simply be a boolean), you can exclude from the canvas entry, but since their status might change mid-canvas,  simply add a validation at each step to make sure they are excluded.

Hi friend! Yes to creating a segment, it's a more efficient and effective approach. Segments are also dynamic and changes are in real-time, so you have less to do to manage it. Using a segment also reduces the chance of human error, and you can get really specific in your criteria for exclusion.
