FAQ: Why Can't I Find a Segment in the Segment Membership Filter?

A common question we get is "why can't I find a segment in the segment membership filter?"

  • Issue: When using an "Is in Segment" filter, some of your segments might not be visibile. This is because we don't show Segments that utilize an "Is in Segment" filter, and have already been used as a reference within another Segment. You can nest Segments only once.

    For example, this is allowed

    Parent > Child

but further nesting as such, isn't:

    Grandparent > Parent > Child

Resolution: To workaround the issue, the recommended solution is to explicitly recreate the segment you're trying to include by using the same filters. It can have all required filters added, which will mirror the segment criteria you are targeting anyway
