FAQ: How To Evaluate Canvas And Campaign Audiences?

Canvas
Filters and segments for Full Steps in the Canvas are checked, by default, at send time. Decision Split Steps help solve use cases where you would like evaluation to occur right after receiving a previous step (or before a delay).
Campaigns
By default, Campaigns will check audience filters at entry time. If the campaign is action-based and has a delay; there will be an optional flag to re-evaluate segment membership at send time to ensure users are still part of the target audience when the message is sent.
Note: IAM campaigns have the optional flag to re-evaluate campaign eligibility before displaying (does not require any set delay for the flag to appear).
