Nice to meet you. For the last 4+ years I have been the Technical CRM manager for the Corsair group of companies working here in the San Francisco bay area. Onboarding just after Covid sent everyone home for "a few weeks", its been quite the experience. My Braze journey started right around 3 years ago with the search for an engagement platform to replace Bronto, Klaviyo, Sendinblue, Mailchimp, and Attentive (for SMS), and also readily integrate with Corsair's CDP mParticle (an entirely different journey which had started the year prior). Fast forward, and Corsair, Drop, Elgato, Gamer Sensei, Origin PC, and Scuf Gaming have been successfully operating on a Martech stack with Braze, mParticle and Snowflake at its core, giving them the capabilities to carry them into the future for years to come. Last week, my journey may have ended with Corsair (along with ~100 coworkers), but I am sure Braze will continue to be part of my processional life for many years to come. Hi everyone! My name is Roxy, and I have my dear friend Charles to thank for introducing me to the joys of Braze many years ago. A few things about me below, I am also totally up for an ice-breaker if anyone fancies :) I am currently based in L.A., and loving the weather we are having โ๏ธ My favorite ice cream is mint choc chip ๐ฆ I currently lead email for a tech company. I adore my job and team, but due to all kinds of unexpected RTO changes I'm looking for my next role (I'm super fun, if you're hiring!) ๐ I am from Scotland, and have a strong Scottish accent ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ Lovely to meet you all!! <3roxyrox2 months agoPractitioner II71Views2likes4CommentsBonjour ๐๐ป I'm Elyssa
Where I'm from: Tunisia & Belgium Where I live now: Edinburgh, Scotland ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ What I do now: I've been a Lifecycle&CRM Consultant for over 2 years now, and I am co-creator of Building Blocks, which aims at empowering CRM teams to build emails faster and smarter thanks to the Content Blocks Braze feature (I think it's cool, ping me about it!) ๐ A brand I admire: Spotify, coming out of left-field, turning an industry on its head, and managing to have your marketing end-of-year (originally email) concept copied by all the other brands? I'm in. Favourite trip I've ever taken: I used to be one of these 20-something whose entire personality revolves around travelling (I even had a travel-newsletter) so this is extra hard! I think perhaps a road-trip from San Francisco to Seattle a few years ago. Wild vistas and less crowded than the usual SF to Los Angeles itinerary! (I love a good road trip)elyssa2 months agoPractitioner II3.2KViews6likes6CommentsHey everyone ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ, I'm Rochelle and new to Braze xx
Hi everyone, After attending Braze City x City London, I thought I would join the community here. I attended on my own and felt massively out of my depth, so I didn't really network or speak to people. So, hopefully being here will be easier. Here's some fun facts about me... ๐๐ฝ ๐บWhere I'm from:I'm from Milton Keynes (MK) (which recently got awarded city status.. woo). It's about an hours drive or 35 minute train journey (Avant West Coast) from London. ๐ Where I live now:I live and work in MK. But, I've worked abroad in places like Ayia Napa, Kos, Malia and Tenerife - but that is a storytime for another day. ๐ผWhat I do now:I own a creative advertising, marketing and PR agency, that focuses on building brands for the future, but connecting them to culture. I have also worked in-house and agency side for a range of brands and industries - even doing comms for the Foreign and Commonwealth officechief executive. Sidenote: I'm a creative person, who at one point had blonde hair and half a shaved head, with piercings, so that was a pretty corporate role for me haha. ๐A brand I admire:I wouldn't say I admire brands, but I'm loyal to Adidas Originals and Nike in regards to fashion. Beauty OGX, The Ordinary, Kerastase and (Look Fantastic monthly beauty box). Food Nandos and supporting various independents in MK and cars Audi/ VW group. ๐Favourite trip I've ever taken:Simple, all the years I spent working aboard and also Jamaica. Very lucky to have heritage and family there, but also the amount of activities and wonderlusting, while there is great. I'm looking forward to being part of the Braze Bonfire community. Have a good one. R xxxRochelleWhite2 months agoActive Member II3.2KViews6likes6CommentsHi all, i'm Brad ๐
๐บWhere I'm from:Connecticut, US ๐ Where I live now:North Carolina, US ๐ผWhat I do now:Growth Consultant for WillowTree, helping clients stand up Braze and other martech stack software. Previously Growth at The Tapping Solution Mobile App, and PM for RBI (BK & Tim Hortons) ๐A brand I admire:Not Burger King lol, they won a bunch of Torchies after I left so i'm a little salty. Hmm it's been a few years since an app design has really inspired me, but i've always loved the way Duolingo and Fabulous app use notifications to help build a daily habit of use. ๐Favorite trip I've ever taken:Took a gap year in 2018 and backpacked South America. Honestly the best thing i ever did as it opened me up to so many things beyond my work life. Love to talk about travel in LATAM if anyone's interested ๐BradRossman2 months agoActive Member II3.7KViews4likes3CommentsHi! I'm Joseph
Great to meet you! I've been in Lifecycle Marketing for about 9 years, mostly on the strategy side. My last role was at a startup where I was hands on in Braze. I'm happy to help out where I can, I LOVE trying cool things in Braze! ๐บWhere I'm from +๐ Where I live now: Pleasanton, California. I live in the San francisco Bay area, about 40 minutes east of San Francisco. ๐ผWhat I do now: Lifecycle Marketing, Growth, etc. I build strategies that increase user retention and lifetime value. ๐A brand I admire:I've recently been using Ebay (trying to find cheaper toys), and have come to admire* their notifications and the various types of communications they send. The infrastructure and datapoints they've set up to facilitate all of their notifications must be impressive. ๐Favorite trip I've ever taken: O'ahu Hawaii. Amazing food, so many great restaurants and cuisines. I really enjoy swimming and hiking... really just the perfect place. We went last year with my in laws when our son turned one, so it was also a very memorable trip getting to spend time together.Joseph_C2 months agoPractitioner II907Views3likes4CommentsHi! ๐บWhere I'm from +๐ Where I live now: Just outside London ๐ผWhat I do now:All things CRM ๐A brand I admire:I've really been impressed with the marketing turnaround of Costa Coffee - I assume a lot of it has come from its new owners(?). The app refresh, the change up of the beans programme and the menu are all good. But what's really impressed me is the app gamification and comms supporting this. ๐Favorite trip I've ever taken:I love to travel, especially solo. But I think the trip I look back on most fondly was to Harry Potter world at Universal Studios with my sisters. We hadn't done a trip together for a few years and we got to indulge in our childhood love of HP without any kids, partners or grandparents to appease!Natalie_L2 months agoActive Member II201Views1like2CommentsHi!
