Let us know what you think about the new site, structure, and ease of use!
Woohoo!!!
The previous LinkedIn SSO flow created friction because it felt external and disconnected from the core Bonfire experience. The updated version feels smoother, more integrated, and much more aligned with Braze. I like the call out to create a new post being more front and center - I think this will encourage more community engagement in general and it looks nice with the new "pop" branding. I really like the "getting started" cards; I think that would have helped me a lot as a new community member and that was a great add on. Really nice experience team, you knocked it out of the park!! See ya at Braze Forge!!
Aww thank you @AnneSchultheis! Appreciate the feedback and the kind words. We also think that the new post button being front and center makes it waaaay easier to ask a question! 💕
It looks very sleek so far :) I think what I am still missing most from the old slack days is the amount of different channels for different issues!
@elyssa @AnneSchultheis Thank you both for jumping in so quickly and connecting here! What kinds of channels would you want to see added next? In this new Bonfire Experience- each new original post will ask for a tag. Each tag will have it's own dedicated page. ex If you're curious what folks are saying about Email, Canvas, Segmentation etc. you can find the tag from the popular tags widget on the homepage and see the latest questions on that topic. One thing I'm a bit sad about is that there's no following of tags just yet- but it's under way! Expected time to be released from our Community vendor is 6-8, so hopefully in the next 3 months we'll have been able to do some testing and fingers crossed release to Bonfire!
Thank you for the feedback, @elyssa!
love the look, very easy to navigate.
We're so glad you're here! Thank you so much for sharing back with @alyssamitrisin!
You are cultivating community that way! Love to see it!!
This is super helpful context, thank you for sharing. I really like the idea of giving folks a clearer path to find the convos they care about most and I also think tag following will make ongoing engagement even stronger, these weren't on my radar for feedback and I think it's a really good call.
One thought I had - my AE, Sophie, and I were talking about Bonfire the other day, and I want to say she mentioned some of her accounts miss the old Slack community.
It made me wonder whether there’s room for some kind of lightweight chat functionality in the lower righthand corner, like something that captures a little of that live, conversational energy you see during webinars, where the chat is flying with intros, reactions, and quick back-and-forth.
This is definitely a half-baked idea, and I realize real-time chat could be a moderation challenge, but I do think part of what people may be missing is that more immediate sense of community. I really can't think of many other suggestions at this point, I'm just amazed with the improvement that's already been built - y'all are crushing it and I'm a big fan!
I'm so grateful to you for sharing here! There isn't an out of the box tool available for use with our Community that offers that type of chat experience today, but this feedback is helpful in evaluating custom projects or non-traditional approaches that might help fill some of that gap in future. Would you be up to offering me some of your feedback on the new groups tool? It's not a chat solution but there are some ways that groups may get us closer to that kind of experience. I can DM you a few times- but please feel no pressure or obligation.
