New learning path + certification launch: Technical Marketing Specialist
Learn the fundamental technical skills for personalizing messages in Braze in a world where Operator and AI are Business as Usual. It's never been a better (or easier) time to become a more technical marketer.
Effective personalization in Braze in the age of BrazeAI requires two things: Knowing what is possible, and understanding what the AI is producing. This path helps you understand and use the key items on the personalization menu:
- Liquid
- Connected Content
- Catalogs
- SQL Segment Extensions
- Canvas Context
- BrazeAI™ Agent Console
In a world with Operator as your personal chef, you no longer need to learn to stew up brand-new Liquid from scratch. Instead, this learning path teaches you enough of the basics that you can understand what Operator is doing, make changes as needed, and ask for more complex personalization. And maybe a second serving.
Every course has interactive lessons where you'll perform realistic tasks in the dashboard and short "Try it with Operator" activities throughout give you a chance to get more comfortable using the AI assistant.

From 3 days to 2 hours: how we handed our promo builds to BrazeAI Operator
Every month, our promo campaign is a huge Canvas: close to 200 steps, with dozens of emails and pushes, more than 80 delays and a dozen splits, across two audiences (active and inactive users). Building it by hand took several days, and QA-ing it took even longer. At that scale, one wrong connection can send the wrong reminder to the wrong audience.
Attempt #1: let Operator build it from scratch. We gave BrazeAI Operator a full Canvas brief and asked it to build the whole thing. It didn't go well: it invented step names, left delays on default settings and rewrote our email copy. Lesson learned: never build from zero.
Attempt #2: duplicate, then edit. We simplified the Canvas into a single flow, and now we just duplicate last month's version and change what's different. Then I turned the method into a Claude Code skill:
- I share a screenshot of the promo calendar, and Claude turns it into a send-by-send table for me to validate.
- Claude reads last month's Canvas through the Braze MCP and lists every difference: new dates, extra reminders, removed sends, the campaign tag.
- It writes about 7 short, precise prompts for Operator, one type of change at a time.
- After each save, Claude checks the Canvas against the API before moving to the next prompt.
The first full test run also caught two issues a manual review had missed: a one-day gap in our new sign-up entry filters, and split filters still pointing to the previous month's promo tag.
The result: what used to take several days of setup and QA now takes about 2 hours, and every change is verified. Now that Operator Connect is live, Claude can also send audit prompts to Operator directly through the MCP.
My biggest takeaway: AI doesn't replace CRM rigor. It's what makes that rigor sustainable on a 200-step Canvas.
CRM Lifecycle Manager at Ornikar
Hi everyone! I'm Axel, and I work on CRM at Ornikar, France's online driving school & insurance. My days are spent in Braze: Canvases, promos, lifecycle journeys. Lately, I've been spending a lot of time on how AI can take on the heavy, repetitive parts of the job, so we can spend more time on strategy and business.
The 6-Week Deliverability Magic Trick 🪄👻
One of my favorite Marketing Mysteries started with a client whose email deliverability had been struggling for months.
There wasn’t one creepy bug to squash. We had to look at the whole picture: sending infrastructure and authentication, audience quality and engagement, segmentation, cadence and volume, templates and content, and sender reputation — then rebuild the approach in the right order.
Using Braze, we created a controlled warming strategy: starting with the right audiences, carefully increasing volume and cadence, continuously monitoring performance, and adjusting along the way.
Six weeks later, the IPs were successfully warmed, and they were sending at scale again. 🎉
The client described it as a magic trick. 🪄
Sadly, no magic involved — just a lot of clues, a clear strategy, careful execution, and knowing that deliverability is never just about hitting “Send.”
Although I’ll happily keep the magician reputation. 🎃
Sharks don’t scare me… but this does 🦈👻
Hi everyone! 👋 I’m Emm, CRM Lead at Massive Rocket. I work across CRM strategy, Braze, data, and all the fun puzzles that happen when those things meet.
I’m based in Playa del Carmen, Mexico 🇲🇽, working with teams and clients across the globe.
🎃 Spooky Season fact: I love sharks and have gone swimming with them twice. Sharks don’t scare me. A client insisting we send to their entire database? Now THAT is scary. 👻
Looking forward to meeting more of you around the new Bonfire!
