Delays for Newsletters Sent to Microsoft Inboxes
Hi,
We have recently experienced significant delays when sending newsletters to Microsoft inboxes.
Has anyone else seen similar issues? At the moment, the delay is around 8 hours.
We’re looking for any tips on how to reduce this delay. We’ve already contacted Microsoft, but their response so far is that everything appears to be functioning normally on their side.

So impressed with Nirnay's solution! Grateful to everyone in the thread for helping me to learn more about channel-based rate limiting and domain-level throttling!

By delays are you talking about deferrals?
The way we monitor these for our clients is we will look after a large volume send and see if the deferral rate is spiking. If it is, that is often a sign of too much volume in a given period. Microsoft is fairly temperamental with deferrals so there may be a need to divide out the Microsoft domains into a slower sending path with a canvas or duplicate campaign for a period. Building up the rate limit at which you send to Microsoft specifically. - MariCollaborator
Hi StefanieB , yes, I’ve created a ticket. The issue is on Microsoft’s end, so unfortunately Braze Support is unable to assist with this.
