Associate Director of Digital Communications - REMOTE

This role may work remotely anywhere in the continental United States and will support the organization in attaining 2024 goals by spearheading a robust digital communications strategy and building out The Phoenix’s marketing automation capability. The ideal candidate will be both strategic and executional, able to create a comprehensive vision without a playbook while also driving day-to-day projects forward. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Own development and execution of the long-term vision, goals, and roadmap for digital communications
  • Create and optimize an annual digital marketing strategy that emphasizes both acquisition—generating new leads and conversions—and retention, nurturing existing members, volunteers, partners, and donors to maximize overall engagement
  • Scope and implement projects for digital communications programs across web, email, app/push, SMS, and PR 
  • Oversee email marketing strategy and direct email content creation and production 
  • Oversee SEO agency on website audits and adjustments to content as needed 
  • Evaluate marketing campaign data, including website health and performance, market demographics, conversion and retention KPIs, and ROI 
  • Complete other duties as assigned 

QUALIFICATIONS  

  • 7+ years of experience specifically with high-level digital communications strategy, digital marketing, and communications 
  • Bachelor's degree (or commensurate experience) in marketing, communications, or related field 
  • Leadership and team and project management experience with a keen aptitude to manage intricate initiatives
  • Experience developing comprehensive strategies for digital marketing communications and implementing that strategy to drive measurable results
  • Demonstrated facility with Braze and other multichannel marketing platforms
  • Experience developing comprehensive strategies for digital marketing communications and implementing that strategy to drive measurable results
  • Fluency in marketing analytics and reporting tools
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Amplitude, Branch, or other data reporting tools
  • Availability to work roughly 9-5 M-F in your time zone and travel approximately 1-3 times per year for team and staff retreats

SALARY AND BENEFITS 

  • $97,000 - $110,000 annually 
  • 403(b) retirement plan with 4% match
