Job seeker: looking for CRM/automation/customer journey gigs!

Any advice or leads would be so appreciated!

Bonfire community! I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to own all CRM functions at my last job - automation, campaigns, SMS, segments, tagging, etc - it was at a mortgage company that unfortunately didn't survive and I was laid off. 

I want to continue on the path of CRM/customer engagement and create larger scale canvases using Braze...while I've no working experience with this specific platform, I have transferrable skills and have obtained status of the Braze Certified Practitioner. 

Does anyone have any advice for someone at my level, with 3 years experience and a proven track record, looking to grow my career at a company that uses Braze or similar tools? If you're hiring and interested in learning more about my background, please send me a connection request!

Since you're looking to grow your career in a Braze-driven role, I'd highly recommend diving deep into the Braze documentation and getting comfortable with the technical side of modern CRM. Sometimes, if a resume leans more toward social media marketing, there can be an inherent bias, so really highlight any technical skills you have, so whether it’s segmentation logic, automation, tagging, or working with APIs and webhooks.

    In today’s CRM landscape, successful managers often have one foot in marketing and one in engineering, so getting familiar with Liquid syntax, webhooks, and data flows will set you apart. If you don’t have technical experience yet, start by learning the lingo and experimenting where you can. There's some community members that post free Braze educational videos on YouTube - check those out before going into interviews.

    For applications, tailor your cover letter to showcase how excited you are about the technical aspects of marketing automation and emphasize your ability to bridge the gap between marketing and engineering. Best of luck. Excited to see where you land!
